About Saidouji Temple
岡山県新見市の山中に佇む済渡寺は、平安時代に弘法大師（空海）が開いたとされる曹洞宗の寺院です。
「女人高野」として古くから女性に開かれた霊場であり、本尊の子安観音は子宝・安産の御利益で多くの参拝者から信仰されてきました。
境内には2021年に完成した白い鳥居「白龍門」（78基・全長86m）がSNSで話題となり、季節には11,000株の紫陽花と5,000株の花菖蒲が境内を彩ります。
Saidouji Temple, nestled in the mountains of Niimi, Okayama, was founded by the Buddhist monk Kukai (Kobo Daishi) during the Heian period. Enshrining the Koyasu Kannon, this sacred site has long been revered for blessings of safe childbirth and fertility. The striking white gates of "Hakuryumon," completed in 2021, have become a widely celebrated sight, surrounded by over 11,000 hydrangeas each summer.
